The AS 08 safety contact is characterized by a very small size. One single central screw is used for fixing, which is set against an anchor to prevent rotation during installation. The elongated shape of the bridge inlet openings is another new feature, which has been designed to allow entry with a narrower actuation radius while still providing IP 20 protection. Lastly, a wide range of wiring options are provided. Double-insulated cables up to 6.8mm diameter can be used by means of the side openings or cables up to 5mm diameter using the rear openings, in which case the cables can be folded and passed through the fastening plate without interfering with the overall dimensions.
