The AS 12 contact stands out from the classic removable bridge contacts because it supports application solutions which are impossible to obtain with standard IP20 contacts. The maximum lateral movement allowed in order to assure the IP20 insulation is ±10 mm from the contact axis. In case the contact is installed with the opening facing up, a protection must be provided to prevent any metal parts – including foreign ones – from falling into it and coming into contact with the terminals.
